Kayak Freedom Rentals

We have a large number of kayak types available for hire from the kayak base at Matiatia.

Most popular are our siton top style (Single and double kayaks) swim or snorkel from the kayak and find your own piece of paradise not for from our Kayak base. They are safe and easy to use. Recommended for 1 - 2 hours paddling in and around Matiatia Harbour or just outside along the coast. Our kayaks have good seats and latest in design.

There are multi optional area's to visit from the Kayak Base. Several other islands are close by and Waiheke Island has a long coastline of incredible geographical changes and good wildlife, ideal for the keen Sea Kayaker.

Sea kayaks

We have a variety of Sea kayak Single a double kayaks.

Light weight singles / Kevlar or plastics / Day and Expeditions Doubles.

Sea kayaks are hired to 2 people minimum for safety reasons.

These kayaks are available for hire to people that have kayak experience.

Recomended is our guided trip for first time paddlers.
