The clean waters around Waiheke Island have this wonderfull phosfloresence (plangton or Alge that collects into areas that one can paddle through and play with.

We travel along the coast searching for phosfloresence, this alge sparks into bright granular light as your paddle dips into the water, it streams of the bow. As you pick it up it shines bright like glow worms for 2 -3 seconds. You will find it very intereactive and lots of fun , we discover this in various coves that it collects and intensifies on 95% of our trips .
