Kakariki takes us to nearby beautiful bays with a yummy picnic lunch - please enquire for trip options which could include simply sailing in the bay.

Enjoy Waiheke’s coast from the sea, looking back towards land. Sea Kayaking delivers a feeling of solitude as you glide across the ocean. Paddle out from Matiatia harbour across sheltered waters to skim bays, coves & Islands. This is our classic fun trip for everyone who loves the outdoors. Experience the delights of Sea Kayaking, occasionally challenging and always rewarding. 1pm - 3pm daily.

Sea Kayak one way along Waiheke’s pristine coastline exploring bays, coves and classic beaches. We often paddle with the wind and current making progress easier over these longer excursions. Experience for yourself the solitude and best kept secrets discovered within Waiheke’s most treasured areas. We have many group options such as full day trips with the route plan to be agreed by our guide considering your interests and the weather. Included are all Equipment, Lunch, Drinks, Snacks and transport back to our base at the completion of the tour.

Experience the delights of Night Kayaking as we head west from Matiatia harbour towards the setting sun. Twilight and Night Kayaking create the ingredients for those magical moments which stay in your memory forever. Away from the city lights, the stars are stunning and when the calendar permits, moonlight adds to the tranquility.

A quick 100m stroll to our base & briefing later you will be on your way to discovering Waiheke’s pristine coast. Visit coves, caves and canyons, beneath rocky cliffs where only Kayaks can reach. Feel the freedom, relax and let your spirit soar as we paddle onto the Pacific Ocean. We stop for refreshments on the beach and take in some great views on higher ground. Swimming, rock hopping & empty shell collecting are all possible along with constant photo opportunities. One of Auckland best kept secrets and within easy reach at 35 minutes by fast ferry from Downtown.
